White Higanbana Dangles

Inspired by the way autumn higanbana (spider lilies) cover the forest ground in a sea of flames, these delicate flowers stand on single, unadorned stems.

A single pair contains 8 flowers, 48 petals, and 16 anthers, each of which is individually shaped, coated in resin, cured, sealed, and polished before assembly. Made through an extremely labor intensive process, these elegant dangles will add a touch of nature's unusual beauty to any occasion.

Ear Hook Options:

18K gold plated hook + body

14k gold filled hook + 18K gold plated body

Hook ++: 14K gold filled hooks, stems, anthers, chains, and jump rings. Except for the petals, the entire piece will be made with 14K gold filled wire, making it extremely unlikely to tarnish, best for daily wear, and suitable for those with mild skin sensitivities.

Resin

The higanbana (red spider lily) is a flower with more than 1,000 names. Blooming around the autumn equinox (September to October), these flowers emerge from the soil like flames licking from glowing embers. Perhaps unusually, the red flowers emerge before their leaves, with spindly petals curling in as threadlike anthers reach up and out. Ships passing in the night, the flowers and leaves never meet. Shooting from the ground like red flames, blooming higanbana ignite the forest floor and welcome the birth of the autumn harvest.
